Janice M. Hunt, 60, of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.  She was born in Winchester, MA, the daughter of Donald E. and Mary P. (Leonard) Martinage.

Janice was very passionate about creating one of a kind artwork ranging from traditional/deco mesh wreaths, to dragonflies made from recycled materials, and refurbishing furniture. When she wasn't pouring her love out for her children and grandchildren, she and her husband spent endless hours in their favorite spot in the world, their yard and garden! She was an avid gardener and had a love for unique plants, flowers and grasses - winning yard of the month multiple years in a row for their beautifully landscaped yard and meticulous flower beds. Purchasing most what she needed to create a thoughtfully put together mosaic yard at her second favorite place in the world, Lake Street Garden Center, LLC. Janice also had a love for animals, especially her Newfoundland dogs Charlie, Ellie Mae and the late Bo.

Janice was a caring, supportive, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She will be missed by all those who were blessed enough to have her in their life.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years; Ronald J. Hunt, Jr. of Salem, by her three daughters; Kate MacDonald and her husband Michael of Londonderry, NH, Kelsey Shields and her husband Andrew of Randolph, MA and Kiley Hunt and her significant other Jake Bartlett of Virginia Beach, VA, by her two grandchildren; Patrick Shields and Nora MacDonald, by her parents; Donald E. and Mary P. Martinage, by her brother; John Martinage and his wife Julia of Hampstead, NH and by her niece and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother; James Martinage.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem.  A funeral service will follow Wednesday at 11:00am in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, 185 Lake St., Peabody, MA.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her grandchildren's college fund in her honor at https:// www.gofundme.com/f/in-honor-of-janice-martinage-hunt .
