Jean (Walker) Knight, 90, a long time Salem, NH resident died Tuesday, June 20 ^th at Harris Hill Center in Concord, NH.

She was born and educated in Somerville, MA, the daughter of the late Clara (Payne) and Murray Walker. She graduated from Somerville High School and Fischer Business School, also in Somerville.

Jean worked in many areas of business as a secretary and worked 11 years for the Town of Salem as an Administrative Secretary in Human Services until her retirement in 1992. While a resident of Hampstead, she and her late husband owned and operated Sunshine Kennels and raised, bred and showed Bassett Hounds and Dachshunds.

She is the widow of Douglass Knight who died in 1973 and she was predeceased by her brother, Murray Walker, Jr..

Jean is survived by her children, Donna Albair and husband Berndell of Loudon, NH and Douglass Knight of Salem, NH; her grandson, Berndell Albair, II and his fiancé Brigitte Proctor and her great granddaughter, Imoen Albair.

She also was a friend of Bill W. for many years.

Visitation will be Friday, June 23 ^rd from 4:00 – 5:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
