Jean Landry, 86, of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. She was born in Sanford, ME, a daughter of the late Raphael and Diana (Roy) Leclerc.

Jean worked alongside her husband Raymond, running the Landry Insurance Agency for many years. She was also very active in the Salem Chamber of Commerce. Jean led a very active lifestyle which included tennis, walking and skiing. She was an avid reader, and also enjoyed sewing and knitting.

She was a vibrant woman who loved her family, friends, her social ties and the Senior Center. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Salem, the Red Hat Society, the Salem Women's Club and she loved to help others and volunteer whenever and wherever she could.

She is survived by her son; Greg Landry and his wife Kathleen of Derry, her three daughters; Barbara Harkness and her husband Ernest of Westchester, PA, Cathy Kolbert of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Raynna St. Hilaire and her husband George of Salem. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her brother; Gilbert Leclerc and his wife Lucille of Tallmadge, OH and also by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; Raymond L. Landry in 2003, by her two brothers; Leo and Bernard Leclerc and by her sister; Lucille Kellet.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday in St. Joseph Church, 40 Main St., Salem. Cremation will follow. Interment will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem in the spring.
