Jean M. Walsh, 92, of Braintree, MA, passed away March 5, 2022 at the Berkeley Retirement and Nursing Center in Lawrence, MA after a brief illness. She grew up in Everett, MA the daughter of the late Clementina (Zuretti) and Carlo Foppiano.

She was the former owner and manager of Excel Cake Bakery in Roxbury, MA. Jean lived in Braintree MA from 1960 until she moved to the Berkeley Retirement and Nursing Center in November 2019. Jean loved roller and ice skating and spending time with her family and friends. She was the life of the party and always the last one to leave the dance floor.

Jean was able to live on her own for many years after her husband Frank passed and because of the generosity of her close family friends and neighbors. Jean's family wants to thank all friends for taking such good care of her, especially the fantastic staff at the Berkeley Retirement and Nursing Center for giving her loving care and always looking out for her best interest. Jean will be deeply missed by her nephews, nieces and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank P. Walsh, and her siblings, Marie Chetwynde, Ruth Penfield, Charles Fopiano and Richard Foppiano.

There are no public services.  In lieu of flowers donations are recommended to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
