Jeannette “Jan” Groulx, 48, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with her family and friends.
She grew up and was educated in Pelham, NH. Jan was deeply connected to her community and found great joy in the performing arts. She was a proud member of the Play Among The Stars theater group, where she was honored with a Certificate of Excellence recognizing 20 years of outstanding performances. Her love of the stage reflected her vibrant personality and her passion for bringing happiness to others.
Jan had a love of music, especially the oldies, and could often be found singing and dancing whenever the opportunity arose. She also enjoyed playing racquetball and embraced life with enthusiasm, laughter, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She loved to travel with her family.
She was predeceased by her father, Dennis Groulx.
Jan is survived by her loving mother, Irene Groulx; her sisters, Michelle Ladd and her husband, Peter and Donna Reidy and her husband Dave. She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and fellow performers who will forever treasure her memory.
Jan’s kindness, love of music, infectious smile, and passion for performing will be remembered always by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those whose lives she brightened through her joyful spirit. The people that were closest to Jan were blessed with the gift of her laughter and beautiful smile and unconditional love
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 15, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Parish, followed by burial in Gibson Cemetery.
