Jeffrey F.
Bean
d. Apr 4, 2025
Pelham
Jeffrey F. Bean passed away Friday, April 4th at Holy Family Hospital. He was raised in Salem, NH and lived most of his life in the surrounding area. Jeff attended Salem High School in the 1970s, and pursued a career in carpentry and home renovations. Framing, finish carpentry, renovations, additions, decking and even building the K9 housing facility for the Salem, NH police department; Jeff did it all. For many years, Jeff worked as a construction supervisor for JR Builders of Lawrence, MA, supervising both residential and commercial work. In recent years, he worked independently, focusing on smaller home and deck projects.
Jeff never hesitated to lend his expertise to family and friends, and many of those connections live with and benefit from the work of his hands today. Beyond his hands, Jeff had a bright and curious mind, a knack for solving stubborn problems, and a tenacity to do what was necessary to get the job done. He never stopped learning.
Outside of work, Jeff loved riding his Harley Davidson, snowmobiling, fishing, camping, attending sporting events, traveling, entertaining - but most of all, doing so with the people he loved and who loved him in return. You would often find him cooking at his grill with a drink in his hand laughing with his guests. He loved his family deeply and was an unwavering support when needed.
Jeff leaves his spouse Tia Bistany of Pelham, NH, their daughter Jayden, his daughter Janelle and husband Paul DeCoste of Plaistow, NH; his daughter Jennifer and husband David Strong of Merrimac, MA; his mother Geraldine of Salem; his sister Janice Hogan and Scott Martell of Londonderry, NH; his four brothers Brian and wife Lisa Bean of Saco, ME, Kevin "Randy" Bean of Salem, Terrance and wife Elisabeth Bean of Bradford, MA and Steve Bean of Antrim, NH; his three granddaughters, Mackenzie, Brynn and Rylee. He also leaves a nephew and several nieces and many Aunts and cousins.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 15th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH 03079. Funeral service will be private for the family. Memorial contributions in Jeff's name can be made to Tufts Care at Home, 847 Rogers St, Lowell, MA, 01852.
