J oan H. (Learned) DeFrancesco, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 27 ^th at Prescott House in North Andover, MA.

She grew up in Salem, NH the daughter of the late Ellen Grace (Cram) and Harry Learned. She graduated from Woodbury High School, Class of 1952 and she was a long time resident of Salem. Joan had worked in accounts payable for Raytheon for many years. Joan enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time at the beach. She also loved family gatherings and weekend adventures with her family.

Joan will be sadly missed by her three children, Ellen Nassif of Salem, NH; Timothy Brown and wife Lisa of Sugar Hill, NH and Christopher DeFrancesco of Raymond, NH; her brother Harry Learned and his wife Patricia of Salem, NH; two grandchildren, Kara Guilbert and husband Gary and Anthony DeFrancesco; her great grandson, Jase Guilbert; her long time companion, Dominic Previte of Melrose, MA; her close friend Helen Savard of NJ and several cherished nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID pandemic, services will be private for the family. There will be a public graveside service at a later date. Please check our website for updates.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Strawberry Banke, PO Box 300, Portsmouth, NH 03802.  Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem.
