Joan D. (Palmer) Santagati, 89 of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Joan graduated from Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing and worked many years as a Registered Nurse and as a Head Nurse.  Joan, also born and raised in Lawrence, MA devoted 20 years of her life as a military wife traveling extensively in support of her husband.  Her family was her world and she was their world.  There are no words that can explain our sorrow.  She will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years; Ronald Santagati, her beloved daughter; Kimberly Santagati and her husband John Laurenza, her beloved sister; Beverly DiMarzo and also by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She is sadly predeceased by her son; Kevin Santagati and his daughter Krystal, by her mother and father; Leroy and Jean Palmer and by her brother; Howard Palmer.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:15am to 10:30am in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.  A funeral service will follow Saturday at 10:30am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
