Joan A. (Sekerchak) Sands, 84, of Derry, NH passed away Tuesday, April 30 ^th at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.

Joan was born in NY and grew up in Stoneham, MA graduating from Stoneham High School. She later moved to Salem, NH where she raised her family. She was an active member of Calvary Bible Church in Derry. Joan loved spending time with and caring for her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her children, Tracey Miller and husband Kevin of Hebron, NH and Thomas Sands Jr. and wife Linda of Chester, NH; her 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Sands Sr. her daughter Sandra Cossette and her granddaughter Brittany Vogler

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 2 ^nd from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
