John D. Erekson, 69, of Windham, NH passed away on Saturday, November 30 ^th at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

John was born and raised in Lynn, MA, the son of the late Mary Jane (Dawson) and Ernest Erekson. He graduated from Essex Agricultural Technical School in Danvers, first with a high school degree and later with his Associates Degree.

John enjoyed playing cards with his friends, visiting casinos and he always enjoyed a good meal. He cherished the time spent with his wife and family. John had a great sense of humor and always made people laugh. He will be truly missed.

John is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Maureen (Conway) Erekson of Windham, NH; his two children, David Erekson of San Francisco, CA and Leigh (Erekson) McIntire and husband James of Salem, NH; his brother in law, Michael Conway of Lawrence, MA; his sisters–in-law, Kathleen Reginaldi and husband Jay of Mims, FL and Doreen Bonia and husband Robert of Peabody, MA; his two grandchildren, Abigail and Samantha McIntire and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Gail Kierstead.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 5 ^th from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM followed by a service at 6:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
