John Hartford, 73, of Salem, NH passed away on March 1st at Beverly Hospital in Beverly.

He grew up in Methuen, MA. He retired from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. After his retirement he worked at the Derry Salem Elks #2226, later retiring from there as well.

John enjoyed car shows and scenic drives. He is survived by his wife, Diane Hartford of Salem, NH; his siblings, Wayne, Donna, Lorraine and Cathy.

At his request, there are no public services. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH.
