John A. Jackunchuck, 67 of Modesto, CA, formerly of Salem, NH passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 in the Acacia Park Nursing Home, Modesto, CA. He was born in Methuen, MA, a son of the late Walter J. and Emily (Dlugosz) Jackunchuck.

John grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School.

He is survived by his wife; Linda (Riley) Jackunchuck, his two sons; Keith A. Jackunchuck of Attleboro, MA and Kevin Jackunchuck of Manchester, NH, two grandchildren; Chantel and Kaylee, his great- grandson; Kason, a brother; Peter Jackunchuck of Nashua, NH, two sisters; Debra Gagnon and her husband Paul of Wells, ME and Donna Carton and her husband Brian of Pelham, NH. He is also survived by an uncle, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his infant daughter; Melissa.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A service will follow on Wednesday at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
