John F. Kozdra, Jr.., 76, of Hampstead, NH died after a long illness on Thursday, December 27 ^th .

He was born in Lawrence, MA, the son of the late, Nellie (Agofski) and John Kozdra and he grew up in Salem, NH. John served in the US Navy. He worked as a self employed contractor. John loved to go fishing, play cards and spend time with his grandchildren.

John will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Jane (Collins) Kozdra of Hampstead, NH; his children, Bud Hawkins and wife Sherrie of Byfield, MA, Linda Davis and husband Dan of Pearland, TX and Kristin Handy and husband John of Sandown, NH; his siblings, William Kozdra, David Kozdra, Steven Kozdra and Virginia Poulin, all of FL; his 9 grandchildren, Michael Fornesi, Jacob Hawkins, Daniel Davis, Jr, Brittany Hawkins, Andrew Davis, Joshua Davis, Hunter Handy, Raia Handy and Kassandra Smeltzer; his two great grandchildren, Caellum Davis and Kira Davis and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Julie Smeltzer and his sister, Francis Quinn.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 29 ^th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM followed by a funeral at 1:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
