John Tiller, 87, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

John was born to John and Martha Tiller of Pensacola, Florida. He was the loving husband to the late Doris Marie Tiller for over 57 years. Doris made it possible for him to travel extensively, build his career, and make a great home for him and his three sons. John was predeceased by his brother Robert Tiller.

John graduated from Marion Military Institute in Alabama including two years of Army ROTC.  He attended Pensacola Junior College and San Antonio College in Texas.  He also graduated from several USAF technical courses in radar technology and taught Basic Electronics in the USAF for over 2 years.  He was a USAF Bootcamp tactical instructor for a year.  While working overseas he attended a correspondence course in electronics circuit design, computers and servos from the Capital Radio Engineering Institute in Chicago.  He assisted Israel with their HAWK System during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, and the U.S. Army with deployment and support of their Patriot System prior to Desert Storm.

John worked for Raytheon for 47 years after leaving Philco Corp. He was International Logistics Manager on the HAWK System, Vice President and Operations Manager of a Raytheon Subsidiary company on the HAWK Program in Tehran, Iran, and later the Logistics Manager on the Patriot System during development.  He did extensive work in Texas, Alabama, North and Central Germany, Israel, Iran and New England and also did business in Brazil, South Korea, Sweden, Spain, and Taiwan.

John's greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted father to David and his significant other Liz Racioppi, Mark and his wife Kelly, and Kevin and his wife Leslie. He has also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, David-John, Cameron, Matthew, Allison and great-granddaughters, Phoenix and Rose.  John loved to spend his free time fishing with his sons; traveling and spending time with family at cookouts.
