Joseph Glendye, Jr., 93, of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, June 16 ^th at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH.

Joe was born in Lawrence, MA the son of the late Marion (Caswell) Carlsen and Joseph Glendye, Sr. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Joe was an accountant with Vulcan Industries for many years. He owned and operated Bayside Plastics. Joe enjoyed going to casinos, playing cards, golfing, visiting thrift stores, deep sea fishing and visiting his daughter in Florida. He was an avid Boston sports fan and he also enjoyed watching golf. Joe loved going to Goatstock every year. He liked to have a good stinger and a PBR. Joe was a 37 year member of the Lawrence Elks Lodge #65 and a member of the Lawrence BPOE. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy (Obst) Glendye of Salem, NH; his 4 children, Linda Lee and James Hill, Jr. of Hudson, FL, Robert Glendye of Salem, NH, Deborah Larrabee of Salem, NH and Karen Czifrik and Patrick Boisvert of Farmington, NH; 8 grandchildren, Meghan Carr, Stacey Mauer, JJ Bedard, Molly and husband Paul Frade, Morgan and husband Thomas Schaefer, Nicole Bedard, Eric Czifrik and fiancé Katie Aliberti and Kyle Czifrik and 5 great grandchildren, Cady, Chloe, Nora, Atticus and Emmett.

He was predeceased by his two brothers, Richard and James Glendye.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH.
