Joseph (Joe) Pineau, age 91, formerly of Derry, NH, Nashua, NH, and Chelsea, MA, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2020 at his daughters' home in Salem, NH.

Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on October 3, 1929, he was the son of the late John Pineau and Evangeline (Arsenault) Pineau. Joe was raised in Chelsea, MA, with his late brothers Anthony, Leo, John, and Wilfred, his late sister Anne (Pineau) Callahan, and sister Jean (Moore) Rizzo of Arizona.

Joe was the beloved husband of Delores (Rheault) Pineau, who passed away on July 27, 2017. They were married on August 20, 1955, in Chelsea, MA, where they raised six children: John Pineau of Nashua, NH; Joy Garon of Salem; NH, Felix Pineau of Manchester, NH; the late Claire Cain; Henry Pineau of Hooksett, NH; and Marie Hannon of Waterville, ME.

Joe retired from the US Postal Service and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during the Korean war.

Joe, a 4 ^th Degree Knights of Columbus, was a die-hard Red Sox fan and an avid candlepin bowler. He enjoyed reading his daily newspaper, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing cribbage, and socializing with friends at Silverthorne Adult daycare in Salem, NH.

Joe is survived by his children: John and his spouse Carleen of Nashua, NH; Joy Garon and her spouse Robert of Salem; NH; Felix, and his spouse Sandra of Manchester, NH; Henry and his spouse Cheryl of Hooksett, NH; and Marie (widow of Carl Hannon) of Waterville, ME; his sister Jean Rizzo and her husband Anthony of Arizona; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial will be private, and the family will plan services at a later date.
