Joseph S. Vella, 85 of Salem, NH passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 in The Arbors of Bedford, Bedford, NH.  He was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Rosario and Josephine (Aleo) Vella.

Mr. Vella grew up in East Boston and graduated from Boston English High School and later from Bentley College.  He worked as a banker for the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston.  Mr. Vella enjoyed running, golfing, horse racing and taking trips to Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife; Kathleen R. Vella of Salem, by his three sons; James Vella of Manchester, NH, Stephen Vella and his wife Nancy of Londonderry, NH and Michael Vella of Manchester.  He is also survived by his sister; Josephine Rivers of Everett, MA.

Services will be private for the family.
