Longtime resident of Salem NH, Kathleen Joanne "JoJo" (O'Brien) Hubicsak, age 82, passed away peacefully, 8/12/23, at Greystone Farms, in Salem, where she resided since January 2020. Born March 11, 1941, in South Boston MA the daughter of John and Helen (McPartland) O'Brien. She graduated from Gates of Heaven High School in Southie.

Joanne was predeceased, in 2010, by her loving husband of 51 years, John. They moved to Salem NH in 1960 where they raised their family.

Joanne loved children and spent many years babysitting for numerous Salem school teachers. The newborns would spend their early years until they were of school age. She was also involved with Salem Band Parents and Salem Senior Center. Joanne enjoyed gardening, drives to the beach, thrifting with friends and crafting. During her residency at Greystone Farms she made many new friends, was nicknamed JoJo and known as the trivia queen.

Joanne is survived by her four children: Cheryle Hubicsak of Derry NH, John(Mickey) Hubicsak and his wife Denise of New Braunfels TX, Michelle (Mitzi) and her husband Bob DiCicco of Windham NH and Gayle and her husband John Prokop of Atkinson NH.  She leaves grandchildren John (M'Lissa), Daniel, Ali (Jacob McArthur), Madison, Chelsie (James Mostone), Bobby, Kerri (Ben Schott)) and Ryan Prokop as well as, 10 great grandchildren. Also, Bob and Annette McGuire and their family have always been our family.

We'd like to acknowledge the loving care and attention JoJo received while living at Greystone Farms which brought much happiness and comfort to her end of life.

There will be no calling hours.  Cremation and private services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Joanne's name, to Amedisys (Hospice Care) or The Alzheimers Association.
