Kenneth Barry Cohen, 90 years of age, passed away peacefully at home, with loving family by his side.

Born on December 3, 1935 in East Boston, MA. The son of Paul and Etta (Solomon) Cohen. He was raised in Winthrop, graduated Winthrop High School, then joined the Marines. Kenny served honorably from 1950-1953 and was a humble Korean War Veteran, United States Marine Corp. Proud Member of Local 103 I.B.E.W. for 70 years

Kenny and Nancy owned and operated K.C. Electric Co., a small union electrical company for many years. Kenny was an easy-going, kind, generous, and loving man. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and days at the track. From Suffolk Downs to Saratoga, Kenny passionately followed the sport of horse racing. His favorite pastime was watching the races while smoking a fine cigar and sipping a cold beer. Kenny married his wife Nancy in November 1963. They raised their children on Charles Street, where their home was always open to family and friends. Kenny’s pool and yard stayed spotless, with a grill and full cooler nearby. If he wasn’t by the pool he was often traveling with Nancy and their best friends, Bobby and Janice Howard. They enjoyed countless years in Aruba and Florida.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy (Carter) Cohen, his daughter, Kimberly, and grandson, Dillon Cohen. Also, his sisters Joanne and Lois Cohen.

Kenny is survived by his daughter, Dedra (Cohen) Twomey and her husband Myles Twomey, of Salem, NH; his daughter Lois Cohen of Florida; his grandchildren Dakota (Cohen) Burrill and her husband Jesse Burrill of Derry, NH; Alexandra and Elizabeth Twomey; Kenneth, Angela, and Joseph Calabrese; his great-grandchildren Ethan and Reese Burrill; Alexander and Harper Stickney. He is survived by brother-in law John Carter, of Winthrop, MA and by brother-in law Fred Carter and his wife Christine, of Salem, NH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Ken’s wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
