Kenneth B. Nies, 72, of Nashua, NH passed away on January 16, 2024 at Mass General Hospital from heart complications.

He grew up in Saugus and Lynnfield, MA the son of the late Margaret (Scally) and Kenneth Nies. Ken graduated from St. John's Prep in Danvers, MA, he received his Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University and he received his Master's Degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Ken retired from Bunker Hill Community College where he was a computer programmer. He lived in Salem, NH for over 40 years before moving to Nashua.

Ken enjoyed computers, browsing the aisles at Staples, history and watching PBS. He was a devoted husband and he loved spending time with his wife.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Prudence (Giallongo) Nies of Nashua, NH; his three daughters and his 3 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 28th from 10:00AM – 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's name may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
