Kevin Scott Carter, age 31, passed away on July 17, 2022, in the Atkinson, New Hampshire home he shared with his fiancée, Madison Lavoie, and their dog, Gretel.  Kevin is predeceased by his maternal grandmother Carole Ball Stowe, and his paternal great-grandmother Charlotte "GiGi" Carter.  He is survived by his father Kenneth, his mother Cynthia, his older brother Thomas and fiancée Jamie Jablonowski, his younger sister Nikole, and his younger brother Garrett.  Kevin is also survived by his paternal grandparents Kenneth and Rosemary Carter, along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kevin was born at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, New Jersey.  Kevin grew up in both Beachwood, New Jersey and Toms River, New Jersey – each within Ocean County, and along the Jersey Shore.  Kevin, a 2010 graduate of Monsignor Donovan High School, was a multi-talented three sport Varsity athlete who earned All-Shore honors in Varsity Football, and was a valuable contributor on both the Boys' Varsity Track and Field and Boys' Varsity Basketball teams.  No matter the athletic endeavor, Kevin combined excellent God-given natural talents and instincts, a disciplined work ethic, and a fierce competitive nature.  During his Junior and Senior football seasons, Kevin produced some of the most impressive and productive statistical performances in New Jersey at both the wide receiver and quarterback positions, respectively.  These performances earned Kevin significant praise and attention among coaches, peers, and followers of New Jersey's Shore Conference.  He was fiercely recruited by numerous colleges and universities to play football at the collegiate level.

Kevin graduated from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2014.  During his time at Gettysburg, Kevin was a two-year member of the Varsity Football team, and was a dedicated brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.  After serving in both the retail banking and home improvement industries, Kevin returned to school and completed an intensive graduate program at Northeastern University's D'Amore-Kim School of Business in Boston, Massachusetts.  He graduated in 2018 with dual Masters degrees – a Masters of Science in Accounting ("MSA"), and a Masters of Business Administration ("MBA").  While he left with a prestigious academic record, his greatest achievement at Northeastern was capturing the heart of Madison Lavoie.

Upon graduation from Northeastern, Kevin began as an Assurance Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a large professional services firm in Boston, Massachusetts.  He worked there from October 2018 through September 2021.  During that time period, Kevin demonstrated incredible commitment to his professional development, earning both a license as a Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") and multiple promotions.  In September 2021, Kevin lateraled to KPMG, a competitor firm, where he became a Senior Associate in the firm's Deals Advisory practice.  In that role, Kevin served as an advisor to large businesses in mergers and acquisitions.  Throughout his time in the business world, Kevin combined strong technical skills with a fun-loving personality and ambitious attitude.

Kevin enjoyed both playing and watching sports, discussing politics, playing with Gretel, and exploring local nightlife.  However, what Kevin loved most was his family.  He returned home to New Jersey as often as he could, and loved spending time with the Lavoie family – Raoul, Kelly, Joshua, Michaela, Chase – and their extended family.

Kevin will always be loved, cherished, admired, and remembered for his thirst for life, his "goofy" good-natured humor, his loving smile, his distinctive laugh, his macho catchphrases and gestures, his love for competition, and his passion and deep love for his family and friends in New Jersey, New Hampshire, and beyond . Kevin was the light to our lives.  He will always be there in spirit to guide our steps through darkness throughout the rest of our lives.  We are grateful for each and every day of time spent with him, and our lives have been immeasurably enriched and benefited by his presence.  It's nearly impossible to summarize the person Kevin was in just a few paragraphs.  He brought positivity and love to the world, and made it a better place.  We love you always, Kev.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:00am in St. Michael's Parish, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA 01845.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Kevin Scott Carter to the Donovan Catholic Athletic Fund. All who knew Kevin saw his natural athletic talent and his fierce, competitive nature in any sport that he played.

Kevin was a part of the Monsignor Donovan football, basketball, and track and field teams throughout his four years at Monsignor Donovan.
