It is with profound sadness and deep regret that we announce the passing of Kevin McPherson, 56, of Salem, NH who passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Mass General Hospital in Boston.

Kevin was raised and spent his life in Salem, NH.  He graduated from Salem High School in 1987.  He grew up loving rock & roll music and enjoyed garage jam sessions on the electric guitar with his cousin, Mark.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing with his sons.  While retired, he enjoyed watching classic westerns and tinkering around the house doing yard work and tackling small jobs.  Kevin always had an interest in aviation and space exploration and liked to watch rocket launches and space walks on the NASA TV network.  He was an avid fan of New England sports teams and enjoyed following the Red Sox, the Celtics and the Patriots.

When he was a teenager, he worked at Child World in Salem, NH where he met Trisha, who would quickly become the love of his life.  He also worked at Schneider Electric, Furniture World and more recently at Aurora Imaging where he was a field service administrator until his retirement.

He is deeply missed by his beloved wife, Trisha; his two sons whom he adored, Kevin Jr. and Zachary; his loving brothers Thomas McPherson, Jr, Paul McPherson, Sr., Steven McPherson; his sister Erin (McPherson) Blom; his in-laws Katherine Leonard and her husband Curt, Joyce and her husband James "Jigsy" Regan, Wayne Ball, and the late John Ball and his wife Carolyn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He held a special place in his heart for his aunts and his uncles whom he loved very much.

Kevin was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew and friend.  We will all miss his smile, his laugh and his sense of humor.

He was predeceased by both of his parents, Thomas McPherson, Sr. and Elaine McPherson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 4pm – 8pm at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH 03079.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11am at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem, NH. Please arrive by 10:45 am. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, NH.
