King Fa (How) Lai, 91, of Salem, NH peacefully passed away, surrounded by loving family on Thursday, July 27th at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.

King was born in China and lived in Hong Kong and Okinawa, Japan. She and her husband later came to the United States in 1988. King enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She was predeceased by her husband, Man Yip Lai. She will be sadly missed by her children, Yiu Tat and his wife, Kam Sum Lai of Hong Kong, Yiu Cheong and his wife, Ngar Nyee Lai of Brooklyn, NY and Wing-Hun and her husband, John Kwong of Salem, NH; her 7 grandchildren: David, Carmen, and Ivy Lai; Cynthia and her husband, Justin Pryce, Christine and her husband, Tyler Goodhue, Cammie, and Caroline Kwong; her 2 great grandsons; her brothers, Yuen Fa How of China, Kah Wing How of NY, Jix Wai How of Hong Kong, and her sister, Si Nu How of China, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2nd from 9:00 – 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM both held at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
