Laura Tierney, 94, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on August 15th after a visit with close family and friends.

Laura was born on October 5th to Vincent and Laura (Roberge) Doucet in Lawrence, MA. Laura graduated from Lawrence High School, and soon after began working at Lawrence General Hospital (LGH) where she stayed for 31 years.

Laura enjoyed volunteering at LGH after retirement, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She was a proud 'Nani', spending most of her later years with her grandchildren and her adored great grandchildren.

Laura was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Tierney, her sister Pearl Hamel and brothers Vincent and Kenny Doucet. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Brenda Lee Mikolis and Susan O'Brian Cook; her sister, Charmaine Doucet; her grandchildren Michelle, Nina, Erika and Raymond; her five great grandchildren; extended family members and dear friends.

Services are private for the family. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
