Laure E. Wakim, 53, a 25 year resident of Salem, NH, formerly of Londonderry, NH passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 in the Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. She was born in Dracut, MA, a daughter of Phyllis (Poole) Beaulieu and the late Richard Beaulieu.
Mrs. Wakim grew up in Dracut and graduated from Fellowship Christian Academy, Class of 1983, when it was located in North Andover, MA. She enjoyed vacationing by the lakes, the mountains, the beaches and the ocean. She truly enjoyed nature and trail walks and especially enjoyed tending her garden. Mrs. Wakim loved her church and her Christ. She was a longtime devoted and active member of Victory Baptist Church in Londonderry, loved working with the children as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years as well as singing in the church choir. Her family and her church were the most important parts of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years; Samuel I. Wakim of Salem, her two sons; James S. Wakim and his wife Amanda of Spartanburg, SC and Matt S. Wakim and his wife Alicia of Hampstead, NH. She is also survived by her three grandchildren; Emma, Alex and Olivia, all of Spartanburg, SC, her mother; Phyllis Beaulieu of Dracut, her brothers; David Beaulieu and his wife Karen of Salem and Paul Beaulieu and his wife Nancy of Allenstown, NH, her sister; Andrea Beaulieu of Barrington, NH and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father; Richard Beaulieu and by her sister; Sandra Beaulieu.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28 th at 10:00am in the Victory Baptist Church, 78 Litchfield Rd., Londonderry. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
