Obituary

Leonard A. Bolomey of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully January 26, 2021 at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA.

Leonard was born on Jan 6, 1944, in Palo Alto, CA.  He was the son of the late Rene A. Bolomey and E. Louise (Jolly) Bolomey.

Leonard lived in a number of states before graduating from Lakeland High School in Peekskill, NY.  He attended DeVry University and the University of Miami.  He began working in the Nuclear Medicine field in Miami and his work took him to Houston in 1983 and Boston in 1997.  He retired after years of traveling the world installing Proton Therapy Systems and servicing Cyclotrons.

Leonard was a fascinating man and had many interests, but his true love was sailing.  He enjoyed sailing on Galveston Bay and in Houston, TX with longtime friends, and taking part in the Harvest Moon Regatta along with other races over the years.

Leonard is survived by his brother Stephen L. Bolomey and his wife Rose L. Bolomey of Longview, TX; his nephews, Rudolph E. Maldonado and his wife Reagan M. Maldonado, Jamie C. Maldonado, Adam G. Maldonado and many friends across the world who considered him part of their family.
