Leslie Strout, 78, of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with his family and friends.

Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, Leslie graduated from Lawrence High School before beginning the next chapter of his life. In 1978, he and his family made Salem, NH their home, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Leslie was happiest when he was outdoors. He had a lifelong passion for fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and just about any activity that allowed him to enjoy nature. Some of his greatest memories were made snowmobiling and spending time outdoors with his boys and life-long friend Frank Noto. Leslie passed along his love of adventure but also the values of family, hard work, and appreciation for the outdoors.

In 1967, Leslie met the love of his life, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span decades. Together, they shared a devoted marriage and raised their sons in Salem, creating a home filled with love and support. Family was always Leslie’s greatest pride, and he treasured every moment spent with those he loved. Summer was Leslie’s favorite season, especially when it meant spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee. Whether relaxing by the water, enjoying the beauty of the lake, or making memories with family, those summers became some of the happiest times of his life.

Leslie will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering devotion to his family, his love of the outdoors, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and in the traditions and values he passed on to his family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Leslie is survived by his loving wife Christine (Ouellette) Strout and his sons John & partner Joan of Salem, NH, David & Nancy of Salem, NH; his sister Nancy of Methuen; his grandchildren, Kevin, Michael and Dylan. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Mahlon & Doris (Miller) Strout and his sister, Donna Strout Plourde.
