Linda Karcz, 82, of Fremont, NH and formerly of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, December 26th at the High Pointe Hospice House following a long struggle with dementia.

Linda grew up in Massachusetts and Connecticut, the daughter of the late Earlene and Lloyd Beckman. After graduating from Westbrook Jr. College in Maine, she went to work at Western Electric in North Andover, MA, where she met her husband and continued to work until her first daughter was born.  After raising her children she returned to work, as a technician at Salem Animal Hospital for many years.

Different activities she enjoyed with her family included hiking and skiing in the White Mountains, canoeing, camping, and also bicycling for several years as a member of the Granite State Wheelmen.  She was a talented crafter, and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, basket weaving, pottery, upholstery, quilting and stenciling. She had a lifelong love of animals with her many adopted dogs and stray cats over the years.

Linda will be deeply missed by her husband of 58 years, John Karcz; her 3 children,  Laurie Karcz of Ashland, MA, Kevin Karcz of Nottingham, NH and Donna Karcz of Epping, NH; her grandson, Tyler Barry and  several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and David Beckman.

Visitation Services, primarily for the family, will be held at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2nd from 10:30 to noon, with a short service to follow.
