Lorraine Curnew, 78 of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Methuen, MA surrounded by her devoted husband and loving family.  She was born in Melrose, MA, a daughter of the late Roland and Christine (Souter) Knight.

Lorraine grew up in Milton, NH and later graduated from Salem, NH High School.  She worked for many years for Salem Building Supply and for Coca-Cola.  She enjoyed ceramics, crafts, reading and taking trips to Florida. Lorraine loved the holidays, especially Christmas when she could spend time with her family who meant the world to her.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years; Robert L. Curnew of Salem, her three children; Kathleen Moffett and her husband Jim of Midway, FL, Larry Curnew of Salem and Mary-Ellen Soucy and her husband Paul of Haverhill, MA.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December12, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the National MS Society , P.O.
