Lorraine M. Marotte, 85 of Salem, NH, formerly of Lawrence, MA passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home in Salem. She was born in Lawrence, a daughter of the late Augustin and Catherine (Poirier) Gallant.

Mrs. Marotte was devoted to her family and devoted to her catholic religion. She was a communicant of Mary Queen of Peace. She enjoyed playing 45's, a good game of scrabble and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Marotte was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard J. Marotte of Salem, her children; David J. Marotte and his wife Julie of Windham, NH, Donald L. Marotte and his wife CarolAnn T. Chory of Salem and Diane Dore of Sandown, NH, two granddaughters; Jessica Manning and her husband Matthew of Sandown and Ashley Marotte of Windham, by her sister; Mildred Jesses of Andover, MA and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers; Rev. Leo Gallant and Henry Gallant.

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:30am in Mary Queen of Peace, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem. Please meet at the church. Private interment will follow for family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem, NH 03079 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
