Mary Carroll, 88, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2025 at Salemhaven in Salem, NH.

Mary grew up in Medford, MA, the daughter of the late Mary and Carl  Connors. She graduated from Medford High School, Class 0f 1955.  She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Carroll.  A true New Englander at heart, she was a devoted and passionate Boston Red Sox fan, cheering the team through every triumph and heartbreak.

For many years, Mary brought warmth and kindness to generations of Medford children while working in school lunchrooms at the Gleason and Waite Schools.

Above all, Mary cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She delighted in their visits, stories and accomplishments and her love for them  knew no bounds.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Paula and Gregory Maccini of Salem, NH and Patrick Carroll of Danville, NH; her 4 granddaughters, Kelly Standley and her husband Joshua, Faith Carroll, Anna Carroll and Katherine Maccini; her 2 great granddaughters, Jordyn and Jaelyn Standley and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Paul J. Carroll and her brother Donald Connors.

Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 11th from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
