Mary Ellen Levesque, 73, a longtime resident of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Oceanside Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, in Hampton, NH. She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Charles and Annette (Houle) Chase.

Mary Ellen was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA. She was a graduate of the former St. Anne's High School. Mary Ellen was a resident of Salem for 55 years and enjoyed raising her family in Salem. Later on, she worked alongside her husband as co-owner of Pete's Pine Street Garage in Methuen, MA. She loved doing arts and crafts and also making flower arrangements for many of their family functions. Mary Ellen always looked forward to their family vacations on Pratt's Island in Southport, ME. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her children, grandchildren and her entire family.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lionel "Pete" Levesque of Salem; her daughters and son-in-law Melissa and Jeffrey Sweeney of Raymond, NH. Rebecca and Perry Belanger of Salem, NH; her son and daughter- in-law Keith and Heidi Levesque of Methuen, MA; her seven grandchildren, Jonathan and his wife Lauren Lynch, Amanda (Lynch) Barbo and husband Andy, Aurora Levesque, Orion Levesque, Sebastian Belanger and fiancé Samantha Goodhue, Sabrina Belanger and Samanatha Belanger; her step brother Charles Chase Jr. and his wife Cher and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 15th in Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence, Rd. Salem, with burial to follow at the St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
