Mary A. McRae, 90, a longtime resident of Salem, NH passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her home. She was born in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late James and Annie (Coffey) McRae.

Mary was the matriarch of her family. She took deep pride in her family and was always there to help and take care of anyone who needed the help and the care. Mary was a good teacher of life's values.  She enjoyed hosting the Christmas parties and most of the family get togethers.  Mary worked her entire career for Liberty Mutual Insurance, starting in Boston and eventually as Division Manager for offices throughout New England.  She loved to read, especially her romance novels, watching football, hockey and the Bruins and her trips to the casinos to play the slots with her longtime friend Joe Santy.

She is survived by her nephew; William Georgiana and his girlfriend Lori Leonard of Pelham, NH, her niece; Catherine Gurley and her boyfriend Timothy Clifford of Salem, her great nieces and nephews; Kelly McKenzie, Joshua, Zachary and Nick Georgiana, Michael Gurley and his wife Donna and Todd Gurley. She is also survived by her great-great nieces and nephews; Cameron Gurley and Kaleigh, Connor and Reese Menear.  She was predeceased by her sister; Lillian Georgiana in 2010 and by her great-great nephew; Kyle DeCotis-Gurley in 2016,.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will follow Tuesday at 12:00pm noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
