Mary Grace (Parenti) Tatoyian, 92, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Nevins Nursing Center in Methuen, MA where she had been a resident for two years. Mary was born in Boston, MA a daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy (DiGiralamo) Parenti.
She graduated from Lawrence High School. Mary worked as an inspector at Western Electric for 25 years. She was active in the Western Electric Pioneers and the Salem Senior Center. Mary was a long time member of the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church in Salem and volunteered at the church's food pantry.
Mary was predeceased by her husband; Charles Tatoyian. She is survived by her step-daughter; Barbara A. Lutey and three grandchildren; Wesley R. Lutey, Jr., Linda M. Lutey and Cynthia A. (Lutey) Mattia and her husband Ralph and by two great-grandchildren; Jessica Mattia and Sara Lutey. She is also survived by her sister-in-law; Mary Bedrosian Tatoyian and by several nieces and nephews.
A visiting hour will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm Thursday in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Chapel Mausoleum, 29 Barker St., Lawrence, MA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed in Mary's name to the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, 8 Pleasant St., Salem, NH 03079.
