Michael E. Pouliot, 56, a lifelong resident of Salem, NH passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 unexpectedly due to heart complications. Mike was taken into a loving family at age 2 ½ as a foster child.

Mike attended Salem schools and graduated from Salem High School. Following his graduation he entered the U.S. Navy for four years. He worked for Doucet Electric in Plaistow, NH for 28 years. He loved his job as a skilled electrician. Mike was a simple, quiet man who loved his foster family and spending time with them. He loved his N.E. Patriots, Boston Bruins, Star Wars, animals, summers on Prince Edward Island, playing 45's card games and anything Sci-Fi. Most of all he loved his sister in law; Nancy McKenna and especially his two nephews; Doug and Dan McKenna, whom he was so proud of. He also appreciated his work family at Doucet Electric whom he always spoke highly of.

He is survived by his sister in law; Nancy McKenna of Westmoreland, NH, nephew Doug McKenna of Lebanon, NH, Godson and nephew Dan McKenna of Westmoreland and aunts and cousins from P.E.I, Canada as well as by many friends and co-workers. His foster parents; Joseph and Florence McKenna and brother Stephen McKenna predeceased him. He will be so missed, and we hope he finds endless card games, coke and chocolate in heaven.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will follow Wednesday at 6:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Salem Animal Rescue League, 4 SARL Drive, Salem, NH 03079.
