Michael J. Sorenson, 71, of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, March 2nd at High Point House in Haverhill, MA.

Mike grew up in Salem, NH and graduated from Salem High School.

He was a truck driver with Bellavance Beverage Company in Nashua, NH until his retirement. To say he loved the outdoors is an understatement. There wasn't anything he didn't enjoy especially if he could do it outside; from working in the family gardens, making his own beer and maple syrup, canning his home-grown vegetables to grilling in the yard. You could often find him lost somewhere in the woods, mountains and rivers where he was most at peace doing what he loved, hunting and fishing.

Mike will be deeply missed by his daughter, Shanna Ward and husband Daniel of Litchfield, NH; his longtime companion, Kathy Pappathan of Salem, NH; his brothers, Neil Sorenson of Salem, NH, Paul Sorenson of Manchester, NH and Peter Sorenson of Salem, NH; his sister, Cassandra and husband James Dalton of Derry, NH several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Mable (Holland) and Casper Sorenson and his brother Timothy Sorenson and wife Linda.

Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH. Burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
