Miriam E. Stoltz, 79, of Reading, MA, formerly of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Bear Mountain at Reading Senior Care, Reading, MA. She was born in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of the late Walter G. and Elsa M. (Geib) Stoltz.

Miss Stoltz grew up in Yonkers, NY; she graduated from Buffalo Teachers College and later from New England College with a bachelor's degree in Education. She taught art in the Haverhill, MA school system. She was a member of the Windham Garden Club, the Friends of the Windham Library and had been a member of Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church in Salem. Miss Stoltz enjoyed gardening, skiing, listening to jazz music and attending music festivals. She also enjoyed her motorcycle and had been a restaurant reviewer for the Boston Globe.

She is survived by her brother; John Stoltz and his wife Joan of Middletown, NY and by nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held for the family. The Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, Salem, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215-5301.
