Obituary

Patricia A. Cote, 80, of Hampstead, NH passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 in the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont, NH surrounded by her family.  She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Ernest and Emma (Silva) Paul.
Patricia worked for a number of years, retiring as the secretary for Methuen Public Schools. She was a quiet, sweet, kind woman who never said no and would do anything for anyone.  She could also be sassy and sarcastic when she wanted to be.  Her family, her faith and her religion were very important to her.  Patricia was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph Church in Salem.  She also enjoyed crafts, from crocheting and ceramics to sewing and floral arranging. She was a very proud and dedicated grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter; Karyn M. Holland and partner Steve of Manchester, NH, by her son; John H. Cote and his wife Jennifer of Hampstead, by four grandchildren; David Hatch, Chantal Pricone and her significant other Dillon Diaz, Samantha Cote and her partner Thomas and Nicholas Cote and his girlfriend Brooke and by her four great-grandchildren; Angelica, Mia, Autumn and Isabella.  She is also survived by her siblings; Ernest Paul and his wife Lorraine of Salem, Theresa Gordon and her husband Louie of Salem, Diane Bannister of Penacook, NH, Susan Morneau and her partner Don Sevigny of Londonderry, NH and Virginia "Daisy" Antonellis and her husband Jim of Londonderry as well as by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; Frank J. Cote in 2016, by her son; Frank Cote, Jr., by her sister; Elaine McPhearson and her husband Thomas and by her brother in law; Bob Bannister.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday, January 25th in St. Joseph Church, 40 Main Street, Salem.  Cremation will follow.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed either to The Alzheimer's™ Association, 225 N.
