Patricia "Patty"
Sowle
d. Aug 27, 2023
Salem
Patricia "Patty" Sowle of Salem, NH passed away on August 27, 2023 at the age of 64. She was born in Stoneham, MA to Carolyn (Cryan) and George Frederick Sowle.
She is survived by her loving family: daughter Sara Gorrasi and her husband Jay of Woburn, MA, her daughter Amy Nowosielski of Woburn, MA, her daughter Laura Correia and husband Ryan of Londonderry, NH, and son Michael Nowosielski of Salem, NH. Patty was the beloved "Blah Blah" to five grandchildren: Valentina and JayJ Gorrasi and Scarlett, Gage, and Michael Bean. She also leaves behind sister-in-law Joyce Nowosielski, sister Pamela Gentner, brother Michael Sowle, and many cousins, nieces, friends, and extended family members. Patty is predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Nowosielski.
Patty was raised in Stoneham, MA and graduated with Stoneham High School Class of 1977. Patty was a caregiver by nature and this was obvious through her personal and professional life. She was selflessness personified and never came across a person or animal that she wasn't willing to help in whatever way she could. She was always ready to give support without judgment and had an immense positive impact on so many people. Professionally, Patty spent many years as an owner/operator of Meadowbrook Kennels in Woburn, MA alongside her husband Bobby. She also spent many years working as a mental health professional at Danvers State Hospital/Hogan Regional Center; the utter joy she received and provided to others in this role was obvious for all of her life. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, eating, gardening, reading, riding her motorcycle, and traveling to places such as Great Diamond Island, where she spent her summers growing up. She was a dedicated dog owner all of her life and was the adored mama to many dogs, most recently Stella, Henny and Nipsey. She often said that her children were her greatest accomplishment in life and she was incredibly proud of the family she created.
Patty will always be remembered for her larger-than-life personality and her wicked sense of humor. Her eyes always had an impish sparkle to them and she was forever ready to play a prank or create fun in any situation. She was often the loudest and most vivacious person in any room, always ready to dance, crack a joke with (or at) someone, or dole out a ridiculous nickname. She had inside jokes with nearly everyone she crossed paths with and felt like a dear, close friend to many. Her unique sayings will bring joy to her loved ones in their conversations forever. Patty was an incredibly loving, loyal, fiery, charismatic, strong and beautiful person. The world is so much duller without her in it.
