Ralph A. Romano, 95, of Salem, NH died February 7 ^th , 2022, in Haverhill, MA, surrounded by loved ones.  He was born on June 13 ^th , 1926 and raised in Saugus, MA.  He resided in Salem, NH with his family since 1962.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia (Spinney) Romano, daughters Theresa Romano and husband Robert Cardin of Fort Myers, FL and Michele Romano of Salem, NH; Son Raymond Romano and his wife Carol Romano of Manhattan, NY; Granddaughter Bianca (Romano) Rose and her husband Allan Rose of Saco, ME; Great Grandchildren Katalina, Allen, and Sophie-Rae Rose of Saco, ME: niece Diane Romano of Canton, GA: and nephews Brian and James Maes of Saugus, MA.

He is pre-deceased by his parents Ralph Romano and Louise (Maes) Romano; sisters Helen Brayneart, Leona Romano and Mary House; son Michael Romano of Perry, FL (formerly of Salem, NH) and grandson Brandon Romano of Salem, NH.

Ralph graduated from Saugus High School, in MA in 1944, where he played Baseball.  He served in the US Navy 1944-1946.  He worked at General Electric in Lynn, MA and Ingersoll Rand Corporation in Nashua, NH.

Ralph led a very full life.  He was very active, loved the outdoors and cherished nature.  He enjoyed hiking, running and kayaking.  He once walked from Saugus, MA to the top of Mt. Washington.  He climbed a volcano in Maui, HI.  He hiked most of the White Mountains of NH and kayaked the Snake River in Alaska.  He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and appreciation of plant and wildlife.

A memorial service is planned to celebrate Ralph's life at a date to be determined.  In lieu of flowers donations may be directed towards the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), 199 Water Street, 11 ^th Floor, New York, NY 10038 or online at afsp.org in memory of Ralph A.
