Obituary

Raymond J. Labrecque, 84, a longtime resident of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Lawrence, MA, a son of the late Eugene and Ludivine (Roy) Labrecque.

Mr. Labrecque grew up and was educated in Lawrence, graduating from Central Catholic High School.  He worked for over 37 years for Drake's Bakery, as a route salesman and manager.  He enjoyed jogging and looked forward to playing in his men's league volleyball games at St. Augustine's on Wednesday evenings.  For many years he volunteered his time at Lazarus House and was always willing to help family and friends with an odd job or a home improvement.

He is survived by his wife; Dorothy A. (Sherman) Labrecque of Salem, two sons; Kyle Labrecque and wife Amy of Seabrook, NH and Michael Labrecque and wife Sherry of Methuen, MA, two daughters; Cheryl Conway and husband Michael of Salem and Tracey Aziz and partner Kevin Schiavone of Methuen.  He is also survived by two step-sons; Donald Lemieux and wife Julie of Epping, NH and Robert Lemieux and wife Jeannie of Manchester, NH, three step-daughters; Robin Gould and husband Archie of Salem, Lynne Gorrie and husband Alan of Andover, MA and Lisa Butler and husband Jon of Nashua, NH, by 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, by his brothers; Louis Labrecque and wife Suzzane of Salem, Albert Labrecque and wife Claire of Boca Raton, FL and Richard Labrecque and wife Janet of Tucson, AZ and by his sisters; Sr. Theresa Labrecque of Biddeford, ME, Sr. Pauline Labrecque of Beloit, WI and Sr. Lillian Labrecque of Sherbrook, Quebec, Canada.  He was predeceased by his brothers; Father Rodger Labrecque and Father Robert Labrecque and by his sisters; Sr. Jeanette Labrecque and Sr. Cecile Labrecque.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, services are private for the family.  The service will be live streamed Thursday, April 16 th at 11:00am. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Beacon Hospice, 290 Merrimack St., #242, Lawrence, MA 01843.
