Bright, bold and colorful is how Rena (Eisenberg) Dressler of Hampstead, NH will be remembered. Following a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Rena was surrounded by family and friends at Exeter Hospital where she peacefully passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023.

Rena is survived by her sister Joyce Kramer of Sarasota, FL; her son Keith Dressler and his wife Courtney of Hampstead, NH; her son Brad Dressler and his wife Michelle of Auburn, NH; her grandchildren Kaelyn, Madelyn, Hannah, and Owen; her niece Alicia Murphy and family of Galveston, TX; her nephew Eric Kramer of Bradford, MA; her companion John Quirk of Tiverton, RI and his grandchildren Leeland and Penelope of Westport, MA along with numerous friends and family.

Rena certainly knew how to live a fun and colorful life.  She was born on February 24, 1953 in Fall River, MA to parents Florence Novak and Harold Eisenberg. She grew up in Fall River and attended public school there. After graduating high school, she attended a program at Hartford Hospital where she earned her degree in respiratory therapy.  Once her two sons were born, she devoted her life to raising them.  She could often be found at tennis matches, organizing tournaments or volunteering at the boys' schools.  They enjoyed spending time at the family home in Newport, RI and taking yearly trips to Hilton Head Island.  Rena was also a proud, lifelong member of Hadassah.  When her first grandchild was born, she relocated from Rhode Island to New Hampshire to be able to spend more time in her favorite role as Grandma.

Rena enjoyed being a world traveler, often visiting places she loved more than once.  When anything was asked of her the answer was always, "Yes!".  She would be the first to tell you that this is the best way to meet people and make memories.  From her lavish parties with friends and family in Rhode Island, to her progressive dinners, "Senior Olympics" and Halloween festivities in her neighborhood in Hampstead, she was always planning something fun that would fill the lives of others with joy.

Rena had a deep appreciation for art, often finding artists to create one of a kind pieces that she envisioned, a reflection of her unique personality.  Her family joked that her house was like a museum, but this is the way she loved to live, surrounded by what makes her happy. Her pride and joy was her family.  She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother who spent more time making memories with her grandchildren than most people have the opportunity to do.  We are forever grateful for the wonderful years of having her be a major part of the fabric of our lives.  On any given weekend, you could find her in the audience supporting Kaelyn at dance or Madelyn at gymnastics or visiting with Hannah and Owen and snuggling up to read books or cooking their favorite French toast, after all Grandma makes the tastiest French toast.  Rena went on many trips with Leeland and Penelope, their most favorite being their Disney adventures together. When not with her family, she filled her weekends with shopping and dining adventures with friends or enjoying comedy shows and the theatre with John.

With her red hair, vibrant eyeshadow and brightly painted nails, you couldn't miss her when she walked into a room.  But her warm eyes and smile and welcoming words are what made up the essence of Rena.  She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Guests are invited to join the family anytime from 11 AM-2 PM on January 6th for a celebration of life at Jamison's Restaurant, 472 State Rte 111, in Hampstead, NH.  Please wear your most colorful attire as a way to honor Rena.  Guests are encouraged to bring stories, memories or pictures to share.
