Richard "Rick" K. LaRhette, 50, a longtime Salem, NH resident passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 14, 2018. He was born in Framingham, MA, a son of Robert K. LaRhette, Jr. and the late Janis M. (Weber) LaRhette.

Rick was raised in Salem, attended Salem schools and graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1985. In his early years he loved riding and racing four wheelers with his buddies, especially on the circle track in the winter on Arlington Pond. Rick worked construction for 30 years, starting in concrete with Atlas Foundations to remodeling Harvard University in Cambridge with Savini Builders. He also enjoyed building his retirement home in Denmark Maine.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years; Kimberly (Austin) LaRhette of Salem, his two sons; Richard W. LaRhette and Robert J. LaRhette, both of Salem, his father; Robert K. LaRhette, Jr. of Salem, a brother; Kenneth LaRhette and his girlfriend Katherine Schrow of Salem. He is also survived by his Aunt Betty; Uncle Ron, Uncle Rex, and Uncle Jeff, his nieces and nephews; Jamie, JR, Kurtis, Hannah, Jonathan, Jason, and Colin, his great niece and nephew; Jayse and Malayah, by his mother in law; Carole Savard and his brothers-in-laws; Jason, Jeffrey and Jonathan and his wife Amy.

Following cremation visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will follow Friday at 7:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hope for NH Recovery, 293 Wilson St., Manchester, NH 03103.
