Richard C. Sukiel, 89, of Fremont, NH passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH. He was born in Charlestown, MA, a son of the late Michael and Antonina (Guszesynska) Suckiel.

Mr. Sukiel grew up and was educated in Charlestown. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at the Boston Naval Shipyard in Charlestown and later retired from Defense Contract Administration as a transportation manager when he was 55. During his retirement, Mr. Sukiel enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas, going out to eat and watching football. He was a member of the DAV and the VFW.

He is survived by his loving children; Warren Sukiel and his wife Sandra of The Villages, FL and Elaine Tummino and her husband Steven of Sandown, NH, by his grandson whom he adored; Steven R. Tummino of Sandown and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife; Mary J. (Rezendes) Sukiel in 2018 and by his 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A funeral service will follow Wednesday in the funeral home at 12:00pm. Interment with military honors will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, 89 Kent Farm Rd., Hampstead, NH.
