Robert "Bob"
Defeo
d. Mar 27, 2026
Robert "Bob" DeFeo, 83, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully, Friday, March 27th, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, quiet generosity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
He grew up in Medford, MA and he graduated from Medford Vocational Technical High School. He went on to further his education and dedicated himself to his trade, ultimately earning the distinction of Master Electrician—a testament to his skill, determination, and strong work ethic.
Bob was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Peterson Council #4442, where he generously gave his time volunteering at bingo events. He found fulfillment in helping others and being part of a community rooted in faith and service.
He cherished his time outdoors, especially fishing and boating. Some of his fondest memories were made growing up on Cobbetts Pond, a place that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Bob will be remembered for his steady presence, kind spirit, and the many ways he quietly supported those around him. He held a special place in the hearts of his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet (Sapochetti) DeFeo, his 4 children, Christine DeFeo of Haverhill, MA, Robert DeFeo and wife Kimberly of Derry, NH, Marc DeFeo and wife Erika of Salem, NH, and Amy Whittaker and husband Brent of Salem, NH, as well as his 8 grandchildren, Gabrielle, Lacey, Robbie, Elizabeth, Julianne, Cole, Ella, and Sawyer.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Silverthorne for the compassionate care and kindness shown to their "Uncle Bob" and the staff of Amedysis Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association.
