Robert Eichhorn Sr, 90, died from congestive heart failure May 22, 2024, at home surround by family.

He was the son of Raymond and Andrea Eichhorn. Bob graduated from Searles High School, Class of 1952.  Following graduation, he served as a Gunner's Mate in the U.S. Navy onboard USS Haynsworth DD 700, during the Korean War.

After release from service, he went on to Dunwoody College of Culinary Arts before returning home to work with his father at the family bakery.  In 1955, he married Carolyn Ward, and they settled in Salem NH where they raised their 5 sons.  Bob was a member of the Derry-Salem Elks #2226, VFW Post 8546, and Salem-Pelham Fish and Game Club. He was also a Shriner and Master Mason.   He loved fishing, hunting and making people laugh.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, wife, Carolyn, sister, Madelyn Eichhorn) St. Laurent, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Eichhorn.

He is survived by his five sons, Robert Eichhorn Jr, Eric Eichhorn, Karl Eichhorn and his wife, Theresa, John Eichhorn, and Richard Eichhorn and his wife, Karen, and three grandchildren, Alicia (Eichhorn) Harrison, Kristopher Eichhorn, and Chrissy Eichhorn, in addition to 3 great grandchildren.
