Obituary

Robert A. Gagnon, 68, of Florida and formerly of Windham, ME passed away peacefully at his son's home after bravely battling his declining health.

He graduated from Windham High School and Casco Bay College. Robert was a member of the United States Army and served our country in Germany during the Vietnam War.

He spent the last weeks of his life surrounded by family and grandchildren at his son's residence, making memories and fishing in the great outdoors of Florida and Georgia. He knew he was loved and not alone. Robert loved the outdoors and enjoyed planting a new garden with his granddaughters. Anyone who spent a decent amount of time with him were left with a greater appreciation for nature. He enjoyed watching the birds flock to the bird feeders and the beauty of the world God created. His favorite passage was, "It may be goodbye for now, but not forever. We will meet together in the clouds again one day."

Robert will be sadly missed by his son, Matthew R. Gagnon and wife Linda of Loxahatchee, FL; his mother, Beverly (Blanchard) Gagnon of Salem NH; his siblings, Peter and wife Kelly of Gorham, NH; Brenda and husband Dennis Langlais of Salem, NH; Cheryl Skillin of Windham, ME; his granddaughters, Quinn and Aubree Gagnon and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Rodolph P. Gagnon.
