It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Horan, a gentle man who lived life fully and who shared his joy for life with everyone who came in contact with him.

Bob was born in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Elizabeth and Robert Horan. He attended Central High School and continued his education at St. Anselm's College and UNH. He returned to school later in life at Northern Essex Community College (earning an associate's degree in communications) and Salem State University.

Bob's passions included music, photography, gardening and sports. He played guitar with The Happy Soldiers and hosted his own public access TV music show, Jazz After Dark. His favorite photographic shots showcase his deep respect for nature. Bob was an avid sports fan of the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox and, occasionally, grappling. He enjoyed playing sports and was always ready for a pickup game of basketball or hockey. He also served as a hockey referee for many years.

Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Christine DeRosa of Atkinson, NH, his daughter, Karlee Horan of Forestville, CA, his sisters, Betsy and husband Ron Tatro of Salisbury, MA, and Kathleen and husband Tom Sklutas of Somersworth, NH, his nieces, Kristen Sklutas of Newmarket, NH, and Tracy and husband Luke Martel of Exeter, NH, great niece and nephew, Grace and Luke Martel, his beloved dogs Sampson and Rika, and all of Christine's caring and supportive family.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 10th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to the activity fund at Silverthorne Adult Day Center, 23 Geremonty Dr., Salem, NH 03079. Please note "Robert Horan" with the donation.
