Robert "Bob" Miller, 79, of Salem, NH passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his daughter's home in Derry, NH surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Alfred and Jean (Snyder) Miller.

Mr. Miller graduated from Temple University, Class of 1962 with a degree in Business Administration. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He spent most of his working career as a fabric salesman. Upon his retirement he went to work at the Expo Center in Burlington, MA, he was a born salesman and loved talking to and visiting with his customers and clients. Due to his sales calls and travels, he had an unbelievable memory of places and directions. Mr. Miller loved sports, watching all sports on TV and never missed his grandchildren's live sporting events. He loved to shop and was the best bargain hunter. He was also a history buff, enjoyed watching WWII documentaries and old Westerns. In his youth he was an excellent baseball pitcher but an injury derailed his major league plans, yet he played softball into his 60's. Mr. Miller also loved decorating for all the holidays and people enjoyed coming to his house to see his festive holiday displays.

He is survived by his daughter; Lisa Levesque and her husband Robert of Derry, his son; Jason R. Miller of Salem, his three grandchildren; Brett and Paige Levesque, both of Derry and Brayden Miller of Salem. He is also survived by his sister; Alice Miller of Philadelphia and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife; Joan T. (Dombroski) Miller in 2009 and by his brother; Raymond Miller and a sister; Jean Miller.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will follow Thursday in the funeral home at 7:00pm. Burial with military honors will be held at 10:00am Friday, August 30 ^th in Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
