Robert V. Puglia, 89 of Salem, NH passed away at his home on December 25, 2022.

He grew up in Brighton, MA, the son of the late Margaret (Catavolo) and Louis Puglia.  Bob worked as a groom summers touring the harness horse circuit around New England and he worked as a model maker in fabrication shops. Bob served in the US Army during the Korean War. After returning home from the service he found his passion singing and playing guitar in country western bands in New England. His stage name was Bob Ryan and his band was The Hitchhikers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sarah (Dunford) Puglia of Salem, NH; his daughter, Teresa Hamilton of Bridgewater, MA; his stepdaughter, Dixie McInnis of Hudson, NH; his siblings, Louis Paress of Plymouth, MA and Mary Baileki of Debary, FL; his grandson, John Hamilton and his step grandchildren, John, Colin, Steven and Linda.

There are no public services. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
